Crown Victoria

I've just purchased a 2004 Crown Vic. Can anyone tell me how they are in the snow. I was amazed at the gas milage that they get. Much better then my two wheel drive F150 gets. Can't get over the room and comfort. I feel as if I'm riding around in my recliner. My thoughts were they must be reliable, every town around uses them for police cruisers, not to mention the State Police. Any thoughts?

They are pretty good in the snow, especially with traction control. You will want to pick up some snow tires... preferably four of them.

BTW, I own CrownVic(dot)Net... Feel free to come over and visit the forums!

I just sold my 1999 CV and I miss it.....it was an old cruiser and went real good in the snow even better with just alittle weight in the trunk. When was the last time you saw a stuck cop? They usually have a couple hundred pounds of crap in their trunks.

they must be good in the snow because all of the cops use them in my town and they never get stuck

I love them! The last full frame car on the market! I had an '88 Grand Marquis just before my truck and loved it. I had to have snow tires though. No Traction control on the old boxes. Check out Crownvic dot net. Good group over there. I will be getting another when my wife's car needs to be replaced. Hopefully a police Interceptor!

They run pretty good with a good set of snow tires on them and little weight. I notice I have more traction with mine than other officers with the K9 kennel and all the equipment in the trunk. I would look at the Cooper Weather Master or Firestone (I don't recall which ones we use). Don't get the Goodyear snows they are not very good. I have experience with all three brands.

My newest crown vic (2004) just turned 107,000. I just finished three days of fitting a new center console, heat monitor, and door popper in it.
