14" Rims

Can somebody explain to me why my 98 ranger came with 14"s instead of normal 15"s ? Mine is the only one that I've seen that way

Probably a base model, I would guess. Most of the older ones I see in the junkyards are 14's, 'cept 4X4's. I found a set of 15's on a BII with NEW tires, so I grabbed 'em- came to $52 plus tax for all 4!

my 00 came with 16"s

Mine are 14"s as well. It seems only the alloy wheels came in the 14" I think. The base model and the steel chromes came in 15" and I believe 16". Come income tax return time I'll be putting on a nice set of 15" baja's.

My 1997 xlt with almost no options has 14" alloys; my friends 2000 base model has 15" steel wheels.

My 97 Ranger Came With 14 Inch Wheels Too And Most Of Those Came With 14s Your Truck Could Have Come With 14s Because It Was Built Early In The Year Possibly

my truck came with 15" alloys as an option, the 14's were standard.

My 96 Super Cab came with 14" alloy. Does anybody know if a set of 15" rims from an Explorer with work (same offset ?). I have a very large salvage/used parts empire close to me and I have been thinking about getting a used set of rims from them.
