Towing

I have a 99 F250SD 4x4. I am working in Alaska right now and would like to tow my 2001 Mustang back to Louisian after the job is over. Its about 4800 miles by hwy, I know because I drove it. What would be best to use to tow the car,
towing bar, dolly etc.?

if the car can fit on a dolly..i feel that would be safer than just using a bar. Have a safe trip... :-wink :-X25

Easier on the car to trailer it, if possible.

Definately use a car trailer. you can rent them from uhaul or ryder.

anything over 20 miles...maybe 50 I would suggest a trailer easier to control, safer, get one with breaks. they also ride smoother, less wear and tear on the truck, and they dont wobble as much....oh and make sure it is a tandem axle.
