All Dressed for Winter!

Hi All!
Just got my new LightForce lights installed and the winter radiator cover put on! Check out my gallery for a looksee!

Anyone wanting to add lighting to their ride should go with LightForce lights - they're a little pricey, but boy do they work!

Thanks PeeWee! Yep these lights sure do help in moose country! They've saved my bacon more than once!

Best investment a person can make IMHO!

I love the output of these 9". I have seen a good combo of using the 9" for the straight driving lights and using a pair of 140's slightly angled out towards both shoulders. Now you can also spot for those pesky swamp donkeys before they hit the road. Now to get DOT to clear the side of the road but that is another story. They do make the 16hrs of night more pleasurable to drive. Glad I dont get the 24hr darkness like you guys. Amazing what 350 miles can mean.

I havent seen a comparasion of the standard 240's (that is what I have) alongside the HID ones. For the price of those I figure I could add 2 more pair of the standard and just make my own sun as I drive down the road.

You guys enjoy the nice -40 weather you are having right now. Valdez may be this little goofy town but I sure dont miss the cold. (Worked on the slope for a few years)

Hey mlb4966,
Another ALaskan! Yippee! And one who values the Lightforce lights as well! Yep I sure love these lights and yes I will be putting some lights on as "shoulder lights" as you have said. I did this with my old vehicle and will be doing it again. But I'll use 170's (the medium sized ones) cause when they are put in a wide pattern and a diffuse filter is used, they really light up the sides of the road. And I love the "swamp donkey" analogy - it is so true!

On a side note, keep your eye out for a new ALaska Chapter of FTE to be coming soon! ;)
