Can my Ranger handle a plow?

Hey everyone, I just found this site. This is my first post. I just moved to the Finger Lakes Region of NY. I am going to need a truck to plow my driveway next year, and I was wondering if my Ranger could handle it? It is a 95 Ext Cab 4X4 with the 4.0L V6. I would like to put a plow on it, but don't want to kill it. The truck has 70K miles, I plan on keeping it 'til it has over 100K. Can my truck handle a plow? What type of mods will it need? I was thinking it might need some type of lift kit, because the front end sits about 1 1/2 inches lower than the back, but I'm not sure. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I searched this site and didn't see any old posts on this topic. Thanks!

Yes it can handle a plow. My friend has one on his. I probably wouldn't beat on it to bad. As for mods, if you have an auto trans you will definatly need a cooler, and the strongest alternator you can get.

Did you get a plow yet? Western or Fisher make one for your truck. 6.5' max! You will need air bags in the front springs and weight in the rear.
