Used 2003 F250 SD advice
 

My first post of many I hope. There is a 2003 F250 4Dr, Supercab Super duty, at a dealer near my house. It has less than 7000 miles and is in excellent shape with good options. They are asking 29,900, but I am sure I can bargin a bit. I cannot spend more than 30,000 so this is in my range. I would appreciate any thoughts from current owners of this vehicle as well as advice about its price, as there seems to be some dealers on these forums as well. I think the Kelly value is a little lower. Thanks in advance.

What engine does the truck have in it. Iv'e heard of some issues with the 6.0l diesel from around that year.

Yeah, sorry, I guess that would help. It has the 5.4 V8.

I have a 03' with 34k miles. Granted I have the V10, I love this truck....no problems yet. $29,900 is high....I paid $30,800 in February 2003. The truck stickered at $36,000+ So I would think that $25 to 26K would be more like it. Granted the miles are super low. Nothing I can say about these trucks are bad......Like I said I have the V10 but some here have said the V8 can be under powered in a 7,000# truck. If it is a daily driver without heavy (9,000#'s and up) towing , it should be fine.

You are getting ripped off if you pay that much for the 5.4

I'd sell you my 03 Crew cab 4x4, leather, etc. 6.0 for close to that price. (with 25K miles).

I think you can find a better deal.
