Mechanic on Vancouver Island
 

Good Morning,
I live on Cortez Island, off Campbell River via Quadra Island, and I am looking for a Mechanic. I bougth a 1986 F-250 4x4 with a 351M last spring. The idea is to get the truck ready for a trip to the Yukon with a custom camper (more like a dogs box) and my 5 dogs.
Although I am not a mechanic , I got interest in learning and have already done few things on the truck, but when it comes to motor and performance, I don't know much at all. I have been trying a couple mechanic's but didn't find one yet that I feel confortable about. Any suggestions or /and feedback would be welcome.

Can't help you with finding a mechanic but if you need help in fixing projects you tackle on your own, go and check out the 80-86 forum as there are lots of very knowledgeable people (myself included) over there that can help you out.

Look around for any of the *Sept*(or SEth) brothers in C/R.
I know a Ken Sept (or Seth) that is a good mechanic,I heard he moved back to C/R.
