Seeking LIFT KIT '05 Edge 4x4

Has anyone lifted a 4x4 Edge or any '04-'05 models?

I looked thru every link for body lifts without luck. Suspension lifts are out there, but i want to spend a few hundred, not a few thou.

Thanks !

Update from Daystar

Daystar responded to me that a body lift is not feasible on my 4x4 Edge because it has torsion bars - I would need to go with the more expensive suspension lift.

Rats.

I've seen your year with a body lift, try performancelifts.com.

Daystar is wrong, Performance accessories makes a good 3" bodylift for your truck. Comes with all the brackets and everything to move the bumpers up and everything too, for around $150-200.

PA Response

Hey 98 - Kevin from Performance Accessories e-mailed me on Thursday, saying that they haven't seen one of my trucks, and to check back with them 'early next year' ... :(

I had a 2001 Edge 4x2, and other than my new one being 4x4, it doesn't look much different. I don't want to order it if the seller won't say that it's a proper fit tho', just in case ...

Thanks
Harry

Performance Lifts

Thanks Ken -

My truck was not on their list, so I messaged them to check it out.

before you do any lifting make sure u don't void your warranty My 2 cents

Ken00 10-30-2004 07:17 PM

A lift will void some parts of the warranty, suspension and drive train come to mind.

Bodylifts don't affect and supsension or drivetrain. A suspension lift (duh) will however change things ;). The body mounts for 04 and 05 are the same, same bumpers, etc. Nothing really changed. They don't want to say the body lift will work because they haven't installed it on an 05 yet I guess, probably just a liability thing. Call your ford service advisor (someone who knows lifts) and ask what warranty problem might come up with just a body lift, explain to them what it is if they don't know (if you're concerned about it.) Ask performance accessories if the body lift change from 01-03, or 04. If so, what changed? Should give you a better idea...

Thanks for correcting me 98.
