bed needed

I have an 84 f-250 that I'm trying to restore. I have put tons of money into
the engine and have it around 400 hp. I'm now looking to get the body work done but cant find a bed any where in Ohio. Does anyone know of a place, or have a bed for this year they are looking to get rid of, that is in excellent condition. It needs to be an 8' bed with dual tanks 80-86. thanks......Beegee

I have a bed from my 85 F150 that might fit your criteria. However, it is not in excellent condition. The rust bubbles are starting to come through but no holes in it yet and the wheel wells are pretty solid. The only real problem is that the places where the tailgate connects are rusted off but I have the parts to fix that. I live in Brunswick which is in NE Ohio. If the person who is restoring my truck has not scraped the bed yet, you can have it.

Is the bed good enough to restore without using much bondo. If the bed is still available I was hoping to see some pics of it. thanks.......beegee

I will find out if the bed is still around on Sunday and then I will get you some picks.

if you get the bed go to pepboys and buy some rust stop and apply it after clean it and before applying bondo.then you won't have rust bleeding thru later............or better yet lead it in......just a thought

If it's still for sale,my Dad has an 8ft. bed that is in good cond.It only has one fuel door though but not banged up or rusted through. It's in Southern Ohio and I can get pics if it's something you're interested in.

Do you know someone who could lead the bed for me?

It sounds great, I wish there was a way I could use it. I need to get one for dual tanks, but thanks very much
