Best friend just bought an '04 Dodge 2500 with Cummins
I couldn't believe it, he didn't even ask me before running off and plunking down his hard earned cash :(
Actually he's a long time Dodge owner, so I'm not surprised. Good thing for him though that he lives in Denver and I'm out here in San Diego, otherwise he'd have to suffer regular humiliation by the PSD :) |
Oh well some people never learn. Dodge does even compare to Ford in my book. Even with the cummins the Dodge pales in comparison to the Ford. His so called extended cab supposedly crewcab is a complete joke. Tell em to get a real trucknot some phony imitation.

Crack out the baseball bats, its a regular bash-a-thon in here.
|
No just statin facts. No bashin.
|
150ford, if he just bought a new Dodge, then the chances of his next truck being a phony immitation of a truck are slim to none. Statistically proven, more than likely, he'll never buy another Dodge. People learn from their mistakes. Well, some people. :)

Keep him away from the 6.0 forum at all costs. You'll never hear the end of it.
|
One other bit of interesting info. The first one that he picked up had the 4.10 rear end in it. He pull out of the dealer and got in the interstate and quickly found that he could only hit 80 MPH.
He was fortunate enough that the dealer let him return the truck for one with a 3.73 rear. I guess the title paperwork must not have been typed up yet. |
Only 80mph?? IMO, I would not want to be pulling a trailer any higher than that. I mean I could undertsnad the disappointment if it was a Mustang or Camaro that wouldnt go ne faster than 80... lets remember the type of vehicles we're driving

Ahh I should have stated facts according to 150ford.
|
It is not a crime when someone buys a non-Ford vehicle. Chances are, they will be very happy with it. This bashing gets old very quickly.
|
Sorry MJD. I feel bad now. Your right. Sorry no more bashin for now.
|
No problem. I have said things about Ford that people here did not like, so I do not have too much room to complain.

Here in CA, you can get run over only doing 80 MPH some times. 85 is a bit more comfortable. Like me, he's an ex-motorcycle road racer so he has a bit of a need for speed too. I don't think that he'll be driving much faster than 75 most of the time but who wants to drive around a truck that is on or close to the rev limiter all the time? |
The 2500 with the cummins is a solid truck. Hope he enjoys it.
To clarify something for you FordLariat, like the first post said, it sounds like someone did by a Dodge after owning one before. You obviously have no proof to back this "whoever buys a Dodge, never buys another" up anyway. Stastically proven? If possoble may I see some of those stats? |
