I have a 67 F250 with the 352, as of Oct 31 the price of gas in northern Utah has been $2.00-$2.05 per gallon. Have wondered how much fuel the truck would hold with the two tanks. Over the years I had not filled the two tanks up for we just run the truck to the fair grounds, sunday drives etc.

i have a similar story to BigFrank with my '69 F250 w/ 390.
17gal to fill, when empty enough it'd not run.
at empty on the stock gauge, it usually takes 15.5-16gal. to fill up to almost spilling out over the neck.

I have read on here many times the in cab tank is 16gal.
To see answers of 18 and 19.5 is a first for me.

gas tank size

my husband filled the tank up. He spent $35.00 on gas at $1.99 a gallon. This figures out to be approximately over 17 gallons. There's a place that sells old manuals etc., unfortunately you have to buy them, they won't give you any free information from the original owners manuals. What jerks....I think they could sell more if they would be a little more helpful. Oh well, thanks for all you input. Oh, my husband said he was almost on empty when he put gas in? Who knows. It would be nice if the Ford web site would list details about their older vehicles they produced.

My 67 manual says 19.5 gallons, but i suspect the fuel tube is way to short on many trucks. I can only get 10 gallons in my tank before it overflows.

19 gals from dead empty in My 72', What I've seen is that most of these trucks 68-72 have the same tank, If your getting less than that the filler tube may be extended into the tank to far lowering the fill level ...........

I have a 71 f 250 and the in cab I have gotten 20 with the gas right at the cap.

Replacements tanks say theres is 18.gal, and 1 is 19.1/2 gals.
The old trick is put a 2x4 in front of each wheel on driverside and drive up on them, this will let out the air space (bubble) out to fill with gas.. my 2cent
