1990 f250 2w drive lift kit, cant find one help!!!!
 

I have a two wheel drive 1990 f250 and i was looking for a 4 or preferebly 6" lift can some one help me find one

I don't know of much lifting of two wheel drives going on. My guess is, you'll have to wing it. Manufacturers of suspension kits put their R&D and Marketing money where they perceive a Market. There's not much of a market for 2WD lift kits.

You'll do a lot of measuring and studying, hopefully with a suspension-savvy buddy. Then you may end up ordering suspension kit pieces by physical dimensions, rather than listed applications. After that, you'll likely end up fabricating a few parts (do GOOD work; your life rides on your suspension).
But I think you can do it, if you really want to. :-X22

lane no offense brotha but i just put a 4 inch lift on my truck which happens to be 4x4 and the lift that i put on my truck was for 4x4. i'm not saying this with attitude but there is more and more 2wd liftkits in the magazines lately.

Hey, no kidding? I guess I must be behind the times. :-down If you just want the look, there's no reason not to lift a 2WD. I just figured it was pretty much a 4x4 market that went along with big off-road tires. If they are actually selling 2Wd lift kits, then someone must be buying them. ;) Front suspension is a usually different on 2WD, so that may complicate the job a bit.

Personally, I don't expect to ever need a lift on my '77 2WD. I have 235/85R-16's on it now, and that's almost as tall as the 7.50-16's we ran years ago. I'm pretty sure my fenders would clear 255/85R-16 rubber if I wanted it. Just cannot see going taller than that on 2WD. :-X15

why cant you see going any taller?go to autofab.com and look at what john has been doing to that era truck for twenty plus years.16 inches of wheel travel in the front and 18 in the back.correct camber and caster,with a 33 or 35 inch tire.

I know its an old thread, but its a new subject for me. The Original post was for an f250 wd. I looked at every recommended shop and they only carried bronco/f150. Are they that similar that these kits will work without compromise ? if so why wouldnt the manufacturer list them for f250s as well.

I have the same truck with the same damn problem. Looked everywhere!!!! But I can't find a kit for mime either.
