blend door problem
 

I have 98 explorer and recently the temp control is malfunctioning -- only hot air-- is this the dreaded blend door ? Has anyone experienced this?

Check for vaccuum leaks before tearing anything apart.

Blend door fix shouldn't be dreaded. Pretty simple fix, just takes some patience. My failure was to full heat, and I spent a significant amount of time on it until I found this forum. hard to believe someone had the ingenuity to develop the fix.
