Predator Timing Advance

I know it’s user adjustable by +/- 10%, but can anyone tell me what is the original default WOT timing advance on the Predator Performance tune and pulley tunes for a lightning?

Thats kinda complicated to answer it involves many conditions.rpm vacuum, temp and others to set the timing...at any given instant.

Thanks, I just noticed that I can datalog the timing advance so I have the answer to my question.

Oh yea good thought..

Yea, don’t know why I did not think of that first – I can only say DUH-HUH! Anyway the answer to my question was the Predator adds 5 degrees of timing. Now if I could just figure out how to make the Predator talk to my PC (see my other post) I could store the baseline data, print me a graph, and get on with it…

If you go to www.diablosport.com they have the software to download and view the data. Use a null-modem cable. The Predator options screen has a baud rate setting, crank it up all the way. :)

I have the software already. A null-modem cable? that may be my problem. The instructions say to use a straight through serial cable and I have tried two regular cables with no success. I guess I better go pick up a null-modem cable and try that.

Problem Solved... Thanks Ken
