Will trade muscle for BEER

If anyone wants to stop over and help me lift the box off of my 69 f100 you will be paid in Budweiser! Oh...if you happen to have any good cheap parts for my truck bring em along too! looking for a good windshield...chrome bumpers...grill...chrome/aluminum trim...yadda yadda yadda...might actually give you $$$ for the parts!

fellro86 08-31-2004 06:43 PM

What all parts are you looking for, I may have some, if parts from a 71 will help, not sure what year the other 2 are, probably should look...

hey fellro, dont be selling off that glass lol i need that

fellro86 08-31-2004 08:14 PM

He didn't say anything about the rear window... I only have the one windsheild that isn't here, well, maybe another, have to go look now... I had another 71 that I still have some parts from, may have to pick them up and bring here, need to do that anyway. Windshields can be taken from late 60's to 79. Don't worry, you've got dibs for now.

fordloverf2501970 08-31-2004 08:20 PM

cool if nothing else i want to look at that window and that 4-barrel intake when i am down there.i know what dougs told me he wanted for that rear glass, hoping your a little cheaper lol.

michaelbrainardatwor 09-01-2004 08:13 AM

Hey...quit hijacking my thread darnit! Bumpers...I need good clean chrome front and rear bumpers...windshield...those are the biggies now...if anyone has a good straight hood that might be good too. Mine isn't bad...I can fix it but if I could find a straighter one I might snag it.

fellro86 09-01-2004 08:42 AM

I'll have a look, the bumper from the 71 had a meltdown... wasn't straight anyway. I do have the hood, it was in great shape, and some other odds and ends. I'll have to get a look at that stuff, it's closer to you than I am... I'll have to check on the windshield, see if I have a good one here, the other is still in south Dakota, and I don't know when I'm headed back out that way yet.

michaelbrainardatwor 09-01-2004 09:29 AM

How about headers for the 390?

fellro86 09-01-2004 09:36 AM

no luck there, only had the rusty set that went with my 75.

michaelbrainardatwor 09-01-2004 11:09 AM

Need an opinion while I have your attention. What would you pay for the following : 1984 f100 or 150 ( not sure ) short bed step side, fresh ( cheap ) metalica blue paint on a straight rust free texas body. 30,000 miles on a rebuilt 300 I6 - auto, headers, aftermarket intake, performance cam...other new parts. Damn cute little truck. They want $3000.... What do you think?

69 and 85 09-01-2004 11:27 AM

I have what I think is a 67-72 chrome rear bumper that made it's way on to an 84 F150 parts truck. It's straight and has scuffs that I have buffed a couple off - might be daily driver quality, but not show quality unless refinished. Also have a 69 that runs and drives, but it's rough. I'm in Adel.

fellro86 09-01-2004 11:34 AM

That step side sounds about like they are selling it at cost, I could easily see spending that much just on the work they have done. Look the body work over real good, maybe even take it to a body shop and see if they can find any trouble spots like poor repair practices, that would be my first concern. Being from Texas has it's downside too, they don't really rust, but they do sand blast, and when you bring them back up here, then they REALLY rust, so have a look at that too.

monsterbaby 09-01-2004 12:04 PM

That doesn't sound like wholesale to me the price is ok but I paid $2500 for my 86, and 1765 for the wifes 89 bronco so that price is not wholesale. But fellro is correct if you bring a southern truck into Iowa they rust apart almost before the first winter is finish the best thing to do would be to take it immediatly to a reputable place for undercoating, and have it done right that will save the body.
I think that price is fair, although you didn't mention whether 2wd or 4wd if 2 wd then maybe a little high.
