1978 4x4 swapping 351M to 351W - headers???
 

I need a set of headers that will work for this swap. I've heard that the 302 headers for that year will work on one side but not the other; and the 351W headers from an '80's truck is just the same, only their opposite sides respectively.

I've got a C-6 from a 351W from an '84 F-150 mated to a C-6 from an '87 F-150 which is bolted to the stock transfer case.

Any help or advice would be great.

Several of us are running Mustang headers with 351w (check my gallery for some pictures), and I'm sure several others with 351w in their 73-79 will pipe up with what headers they are using.

The 351W headers from the 80s trucks will fit, but only 73-9 4x4s. It has to do with the steering box location.
