460 performance chip?

I have a 95 f350 with the 7.5 (460) motor and i was courious if there was a chip available for it. it has an automatic trans, with a non-mass air system. It seems to be gutless so i am looking into performance options. :-X10

Yes, I can chip it with a Diablo Sport chip or a Superchips Custom chip. But, I need to know the 4 digit code from the white sticker on the computer box to know 100% because programming is based off that code.

ken,
If i remove the silencer and put on headers and the fipk will i still use the same chip or will i need another?

Thank you Ken

Doug

If they are long tube headers the chip will need to be custom programmed.

what about if the chip is used with a banks power pack? custom as well? i dont see why the "off the shelf" tune wouldnt work....but enlighten me, please.

what about towing with this chip?

FTE Ken 10-04-2004 02:51 PM

I didn't say a custom tune would be needed. :) "Superchips Custom" is a brand of a chip, not the same company as "Superchips". All Superchips Custom tunes are made for the specific application. The short tube headers in the power pack will work fine with them, and towing is okay to do with them.

MotorHaven handles three brands of chips/tuners:
Superchips
Superchips Custom
Diablo Sport

Thanks Ken now I see there is a option for 87 octane .Does this mean I would be able to run 87 Octane In the truck or what ??

FTE Ken 10-08-2004 12:27 PM

That option has always been there. The only big benefit to it is shifting on automatic transmissions. The power is minimal. If you want to gain more power in 87 octane mode it will cost you mileage.

Fordfanz 10-09-2004 10:57 PM

so wha t would be the best mode to run and wha t octane would or should I run

thanks

FTE Ken 10-09-2004 11:19 PM

Premium fuel (91 octane or higher)
