Engine Suppliers in Denver area
Where should I look for an engine (351 +)?
|
Have you looked at the crate motors available? Summit, Jegs, FRPP and other reputable companies have pretty reasonably priced options. I know it's not local but it's an idea.

The usual auto parts shops have them too, just depends on how much you want to spend and what you want out of the motor. There are several places around town, what are your requirements.

Well I just decided that it's not worth throwing all this money at a 89 f150. cause a crate engine would require beefing up the suspension, etc. and end up spending alot more than the truck cost. But anyways, my engine requirements would be a V8, maybe a 351 at the most.

If you are just buying one that you can drop in yourself for a daily driver, I would check with the likes of Autozone or Checkers. They usually have a good warranty period on them and I have not heard of troubles in dealing with them. There is also a place called Ryan Engine Exchange on Evans about Federal. They put a decent warranty on their motors but I do not know what the costs are, haven't dealt with them.
