Torque by ford standards
why doesnt ford equip the PSD with the max torque allowed, you see all these after market companies cashing in. Wouldnt you think ford would offer the truck of the line with the options in the purchase.Or is it ford tried it and the engine or tranny couldnt handle the higher HP and Torque.

It's just a matter of design specs such that their warranty cost would not break the bank.... and a safety cushion so everything was in spec....
And maybe to leave a little "growing" room... maybe ? :) |

Pentium does the same things with thier processors. Im sure they have the technology to develop PC's that would exceed the power needed by just about ANY consumer, be it residential, commerical, or industrial, in a package the size of your thumbnail. However, just like Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, and all the other car companies, they keep it coming one step at a time to keep people frequently updating and filling the corporation's pockets at the same time Aggrevating for us, wise marketing for them. |
