1986 Ford Ranger STX
 

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group! I have owned a 1986 Ranger STX 4x4 since new, and I'm beginning a restoration project on it. It now has over 230,000 miles and is beginning to show it a bit!

I'm planning on having the truck repainted, but the stripes that run along the lower side and over the fender wells are no longer available. Does anyone know if there is a company out there that makes replacement stripes for this truck?

Also, I'm thinking about adding some paintable fiberglass fender flares to help prevent rock chips. I've found them for newer Rangers, but not my truck. I don't care for the rubber flares too much. Does anyone know of a source for these? I checked JC Whitney and LMC Truck.

I'm sure there are people with some feedback on that around here.

You can also try your question in the Appearance & Dress-Up Forum and see if anyone in over there has ideas.

All I have to say is if you find something, let us know because I have an 87 and can't find anything cool for it except WP heads and various headers.

I have found a few dress-up items from the LMC Truck catalog and website. They have a couple of interior items I am planning on buying, and I may add diamond tread bed caps along the top edges of the bed sides.
