Private Messaging Turned Back On
The private messaging system has been turned back on. To keep this feature on, the following guidelines need to be followed:
1. First and foremost, do not abuse them. If you shift the bulk of your forum activity from posting to PM's, we'll turn the feature off for you. 2. Do not use PMs as replies to posts. Post your replies in the forum threads. 3. PMs should be used for contacting other users about private issues, meeting them offline, handling a parts swaps, giving users your private email address, phone number, etc. |
Is this just for Club FTE Members as noted in the Benefits Checklist?
Thanks, Ken- I've missed the PM. It's just a lot easier and quicker to use than having to log into e-mail.
Its for everyone... need to update the Club FTE page, they'll have more new features soon.
Apparently, a user has to have so many posts before I can PM them?
Very cool, niced to see it back on
Thanks Ken! 8D
It's a good feature as long as it isn't used for a chat session. Thanks Ken.
Thanks, :-X25

Sweet, I was just thinking about asking why it was turned off in the first place, and then I found out it was turned back on. :)
Yeah, but it doesn't work. I've tried several times and it won't let me PM anybody- ?
Did you go to your profile & set it to YES ?
Thanks Ken, I love it! :)

It's turned on :)
Just click your user name in one of your posts and see the text about sending you a private message. I'll even send you one. EDIT: Well, you're correct, even though the check box says yes for private messaging,it will not let anyone send you one. Ken or Eric will have to look deeper. |
