100th Year in Canada (Windsor, Ontario)

Gordon McGregor & Henry Ford started The Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd., on Aug, 17, 1904. The Walkerville Wagon Works located in Windsor Ontario (across the Detroit River from Detroit, Michigan) started the first subsidary of Ford Motor Company (est 1903) to build cars for export in the international market! The first model was the 1905 Model C, they produced 114 cars & also a few 4cyl model B's, as well as 2cyl model F's. In 1909 to 1927 Ford Canada made 15% of the 15 million "Tin Lizze's" produced. They were yellow & maroon, not black & had 2 working front doors ( the U.S. T's only had one passager side door that opened). Gordon McGregor with a combined investment of $125,000, collected from scepitical associates, turned his wagon carrage business into the start of the North American Auto Industry!!! (Detroit & Windsor). The car was invented in Europe, but the Ford program (Detroit & Windsor) inspired travel from one place to the other, for which most people, was no more than 30Kms on horse. :-blah . I think that Detroit & Windsor should also have a Fordtoberfest!!!

Sounds like a Great time in Kansas, Maybe Next year
