two engine questions on the 93 ford F150 5.0

I have a cracked left manifold and have a set of Mac equal length shorties to go on. The first problem is all the bolts look like they are going be breaking off in a short order. the good thing is i have a set of heads off a 89 mustang ready for rebuild. So the big questions #1 many people say all you have to do with your late model 5.0 flat tappet block is drill it and intall the parts from the roller block to convert it is this true????? Question #2 i have a 89 roller mustang cam and compnents that i could install, but what was the lift numbers, duration, lobe center and will it be happy with my old speed density???
thanks SV

I think it would be borderline on the SD, but it should work. I don't know about the cam, but the heads are likely the same E7T's as the truck has to begin with.

The heads are the same. I am doing a similar swap with a roller block. I believe the holes are there for the spyder that holds the keepers. Everything else should be the same. Remember you might have to change the gear on your distributor for your cam. Everybody told me to get a truck cam that the car cam would not make me happy. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...215&view=1appy.
This cam is made to work with the speed density. The guy at crane told me they made this cam to put in mustang roller motors that are being put in trucks.
