Propane

Has anyone tried any of the propane kits
I am considering it for a 97 F250 HD

I don't know much about using propane
If you could help with my questions it would be great
Dose it noticeably change how the truck drives?
How often do you have to fill up?
How big of a tank do you need?
Will your motor last running propane?

Thanks

Propane

The torque pro system from ATS injects the propane gas into the air intake in metered amounts to act as a catalyst with the diesel fuel. Most diesels burn 70-80% of the fuel, with the propane it will burn about 95-100%. It will produce about 20-more% power and your engine will last longer because it will burn cleaner and be more efficient.

Will a propane system work on the 6.9's or do you have to have a later PSD? Is the hookup something a pretty good shade tree mechanic can do? I would expect some pretty dramtic increases in mileage if the fuel efficency improves by about 20% and can you turn the system off if you don't want to use it?
