salvage yards

I live in Norman and know of 3 yards, but keep in mind I'm looking for 1979 parts. One is in Lexington and the guys from Asher tell me it appears to be removed to the crusher though I can not confirm it.One is on Sooner road just south of the German resturant. One is in Mcloud but I have not been there yet.

Good salvage yard in okc

finally remembered the name of the salvage yard. Carey's Found parts for an 88 F-150 that I no longer have, but were very resonable on their prices. Let me know if they were able to help, kinda of a different bunch that operate the place.

My favorite place is Northeast Auto Salvage, used to be called Red's Auto Salvage if I remember right. Helped me out with parts to a 1979 Chevy 3/4 ton PU and 1980 Ford Mustang II. Good prices. They also refunded my money for a bad transfer case one time with no hassles.

I think its called MidDel pickup parts. Go east from I-35 on SE 29th street, it's about a mile and half over, just past the intersection on the north side. Lots of late model truck parts there. It's not a you pull it though

I wished I could find something other than Wilson Ford Parts for stuff for my wife's '95 Windstar though :(

It is out of the way for you, but a good place for older Ford parts is Axhelm's Salvage between Bristow and Depew. Nothing but older Fords. Don't know how prices compare with other Ford Salvage yards, but he always seems fairly reasonable to me.

What parts do you need? I had a hard time finding parts, Transfer case and drivelines for instance, for my 94.

oh i have been trying to get a couple interior switches and some other odds and ends... usually i go to see if there is anything i might want and grab the part

To second the notion, Carey's Triple CCC auto salvage is a really great "find". You can give them a call at 405-670-5414, the address is 3820 South Eastern Ave in Oklahoma City. I recently inquired about a bumper for my 65 that was in great shape and he only wanted 75 bucks for it. Also while I was lookinf for power steering components I saw at least 10 of your year trucks. If you go look all the way in the back, oh and don't pet the dog...

Have you tried Rupperts Pickup Parts on I35 in Moore 799-4489? How about Dollar Auto Salvage on NE 10th in OKC, they specialize in Ford parts 769-2211. Century Pickup Parts on the corner of SE 59th and Camille near Cross Roads Mall has Ford truck parts too, 672-3865.
