94 Paint color

i am looking for the name and or number of my paint on my truck, its your typical blue color on the 1994 ranger. it isnt a dark blue, nor a light blue, its in between. i ask this because i am going to take my plastic dash out that surrounds the stearing column and consoles. what i want to do is to paint that the blue of my exterior, and i will also paint the black door handels on the inside the same color. i have seen this in a picture and it appeals to me, here is the link so you can check it out also.

disreguard that ugly yellow he used, mine will be black, but when your truck is tinted and its dark inside, and you have that blue inside thier, uuum uuuuumm, that is tasty.

What does the paint code on your door sticker say?

1 = Exterior Paint Color Code

6 = Interior Trim Color Code

Is it the same lightning blue that I have in my avatar pic? If so, my window sticker calls it "brilliant blue clearcoat metallic". My door sticker is similar to the one Rockledge is showing; the codes are KE and 74; one (74) might be for exterior trim (bumper guards, etc) which is charcoal grey.

I believe the formal name for the exterior color is "Lapis", taken from a gemstone of some kind having a deep blue color and sparkles.

But "brilliant blue clearcoat metallic" probably sounds (and sells) better... :p

I'm sorry, I couldn't disregard the yellow, let me try again.

No, I still can't disregard it... lol

God that's bright!

Hope to see a finished pic.

Rockledge, you're correct about the Lapis; that's the name on the bottle of touch up I bought. The metal flakes in the paint are triangular, unlike most metal flake where they are round. Makes for an interesting look.

hahah, mike. ok thank you much. it is the lapis color. the sticker that is on the door was removed due do an accident. if all goes well, this will look pretty nice. thanks again
