Banks "Stinger system" or "Six-Gun" bundle?
 

Both are about the same price, but the six-gun bundle has a computer system, etc. The Stinger system doesnt seem tohave a computer upgrade but has intake upgrades and whatnot.

the banks website does not list the stinger system.....can any of you shed some more light on this?

what should I go with?

stinger is nothing more than the cat back system. This typically is a good bang for the buck. I've installed Banks products on Three vehicles and am considering number four right now. i just spoke withthe banks people today i wnet to their plant in Irwindale, Ca. As it's five minutes from my office. Per the conversation i had with the sales rep. today I would jump right to the six gun and speed shooter. It's like 725.00 plus tax. The Cat back or Stinger is typically about $600.00 to $800.00. So the six gun will give you gratification now. The stinger will improve performance but not like the six gun. The best would be both. i currently have the cat back on my 2003 6.0 4x4 crew cab long bed and it sounds good. i drooling over the six gun speed loader. When i was at banks today a Banks tech took off in a ford 4x4 crew cab long bed with full exhaust and computer and the damnn thing was trying to smoke the tires he was feathering the throttle to keep traction. Hope my ramblings help. Let me know what you do Richard

p.s. i looked a the edge products: also impressive performance but i'm unsure of their safety features. I think Banks is very good about making sure your blowing your sh#t up.

did you say the size gun shooter is $725? isnt that system more like $1800 or so?

From my experience you can usually put together a "kit" yourself that makes the same power, if not more, if you do it yourself. Banks makes good stuff, but it's really expensive compared to the competition.

no the guy quoted me 725.00 plus tax. now that is for the six gun and speed loader only. no exhaust. That price is in line with what you can by Edge products for. I believe the edge with attitude is about $810.00. The guy at banks said they don't even have all the stuff together fro the 6.0 yet anyway. They are selling orders they can't fill. How's that for marketing?

help me then who's computer chip/supertuner do you trust? I like chip but i don't want engine and trans problems. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks Richard

The $1800 price is for a package. It usually includes Exhaust, resonator, intercooler, gauges, turbo pipes, etc.

The edge is nice and with the tuner you do not need to buy the additional gauages which is another $300 to $500 you will need to spend. Plus it looked easy to install. I know people like the microtuner but I do not know anything about that one. I really only looked at Banks, Edge, Predator when I made my decision to use Banks which seems to be a mistake now because they can't fill the orders. I ordered mine before the Spike TV show came out and before they even had it available, or supposedly available.

so you still don't have the damn thing from banks yet? How long has that been? And did your research of products show that Edge has the safety features such as Banks? Thanks for the conversation. Richard

There are many good tunners, I just like the off peak gains..........they say I am a bit off peak too :-hair

I ordered it through a friend that gives it to me for his cost.(dealer) If I called banks directly and ordered it, the cost we be $150 more for the chip and about the same for the gauge pack. Banks really does not treat their dealers very well and I am to the point where I may just leave it stock or by the edge.
