Air Condition Question
 

I have an 04 F250 CC 6.0. 4x4 and need to find out if the AC compressor should run when the switch is placed in the vent/floor position. This position is the first one to the right of the off position. The temperature setting is all the way to the left 'full cold'. Assumed that the compressor should only function when in A/C, Max A/C, or in the defrost setting. Please advise.
