leaking inner cooler pipe 01 superduty

I hope someone out there can relate and put my mind to ease. I have a 2001 psd with 13000 miles I have noticed that I have a small occasional drip from the pipe coming from the turbo on the drivers side. The leak is on the front or forward end of the hose where it is connectted to the front of the truck near the radiator.I also have noticed that there is an audible engine noise between 2nd and third gear. Its almost a rattle sound. Heres my real question. I took my truck to the dealer and he said that the mechanic it going to order a new "hot side" pipe with couplers and clamps. He also said that there was a t.s.b. out on this pipe and it will also help quiet the noise down that I am have as one of the coupler are deteriorated and its it letting some of the noise back in to the cab.Is it normal that there is an oil residue inside of this pipe? And can a new pipe help with the rattle noise I am having? I am new to diesels thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 25-Mar-02 AT 01:00 PM (EST)]Yes the oil in the pipe is normal since Ford vents the blow by into the intake from the left valve cover. The new pipe is probably insulated and will deaden the sound some. New clamps with the pipe should cure the leak.
