How do you make these air intakes quieter???
 

I have a MAC cold air intake in my truck and I like the flow it gives me but it's very loud..Is there any way to make these quieter? thanks

I wouldn't think so without adding restriction.

Yep a quiet intake is a restrictive one! If you did some custom pipe work you could maybe get the filter up behind the grill a little further - kind-of where the stock air box got it's air from?? That would probably make you hear it less.

I think this is the first person I've ever heard of being annoyed by the sound of an aftermarket air intake. I'd feel proud to have a loud breather. Making it quieter = more restrictive.

Geez If you want Quiet You should Not Own A DIESEL

There's a difference between normal diesel engine noise and a cold air intake..Thanks I've owned 4 in my time I think I'm pretty aware of this...
