I read in the Virginia Pilot the other day that it's supposed to be the largest Wal-Mart on the East coast. Ain't a lot else in Gloucester but houses, water, seafood restaurants, and crab pots:-X14

Just kiddin...

route 17 passes right through us.... but yeah, I agree with the "not much else to do in gloucester" thing, but that leaves alot of open time to work on our fords ;) and theres alot of cars and parts in the county, and alot of people that work on cars, I know, I work in an auto parts store. stuff can be cheap here too, I might score a 73 wagon from my cousin (has a wrecker and a junkyard) with a running 460, c-6 and 9" rear for a couple hundred.... drool.....

There are two things that America has become....and they need to be side-by-side... First is Walmart....where we go in masses to purchase all of our junk....the second thing is Mini-storages where we put all of our junk. That, my friends is what we are...a discount store and a place to put all of our cheap stuff...jim

Finally accompanied the wife to the new Super WalMart. Spent 10 minutes finding what I needed and 30 minutes trying to locate my wife. Next time, I'll stick a GPS unit on her.

I bought those Family Service Radios just for Walmart, Sam's, Costco's, K-Mart, etc. Anytime we get seperated we turn them on, and it saves a whole lot of aggrevation. Now the wife and I can go our own ways and meet at the register.

It gets better Ranger, when you shop in the same dept. for your wife
or at least when you are alone.
The great looking women start watching you carefully, they say it means something like you aren't 8D "Inhibited" 8D ,& they really like that.

Yep, it's huge alright, but the parking lot is already too small. It would have been nice to have angled parking spaces-they're a lot easier to get a truck in and out of. The old Wally World was 3rd in sales in the world, which is testament to the fact that there ain't much else around here.
My only real gripe is why did they have to put an Applebee's next to it. Rednecks like me would prefer a Waffle House or a Denny's any day. Mmmm, mmmm! I can taste that Grand Slam already!!!:9
