Diablo Sport Performance Chip

Is the premium fuel program on the diablo sport performance chip a 'towing compatible' program. The reason I ask is that I have seen other tuners that have towing compatible and not towing compatible programs.

Also, what are the effects on performance of the optional 87 octane program. I would guess it would be less performance than the stock program?

I am really interested in the diablo because of the transmission shifting features. The extra hp's don't hurt either and the price is good.

I have a 2000 4x4 Excursion with a V10. What the heck happened to our signatures?

Yes, its compatible with towing. In California, and areas with oxygenated fuel you may experience slight ping during hot days due to the marginal octane. Carry octane booster (the cheap stuff seems to work as well as the good stuff) if this happens.

The 87 octane program basically modifies the shift characteristics on automatic trannies and does a little tuning at wide open throttle, but not much.

Thanks Ken,

So I don't need to have the third custom performance/towing program? I will be towing a 23 Ft TT. Can just buy the two stage? If I did buy the three stage, what changes would I make? I have done basic bolt on stuff, Mac air induction, aero turbine muffler, probably a throttle body spacer in the future. Here in utah premium is 91 octane. Thanks,
Ken
