mechanics are agrivating me

OK on February the 13th a friday i bought a 1998 Artic Cat powder special 600 i brought it home road it twice the 3rd time i got 1/2 a mile away from home and it dies and wont start i take it back to the place i bought it he next day i get a phone call telling me hat before i bought it a mechanic worked on it and improperly tighted a bolt, sometime while riding it worked itself loose and destroyed the flywheel and the timing.it took a week to get the parts but another week to fix it, but i didnt pay anything as they meeesed up one good thing. Now i know that buying a sled at the end of the season would get much in but those two weeks had snow when i got it back very little.

and now a second my dad owns a 1961 Chevy grain truck, back in october we took it to our most trusted mechanic a long time family friend employed by the worst business man ever. the hydro-vac was the problem, new problem noone makes parts for this anymore but after a month of searching found someone to rebuild it. fast forward to february im talking to a friends father who has a 60s international truck told me hes had several rebluit hydro vacs on it not one worked the way it should. This starts to worry me Fast forward to today we sell some soybeans over the phone for avery nice price. Problem stilll no truck theyve had the hydrovac back for a month but due to the shops owners son getting devorced theyve had to switch the body shop and repair shop around for some reason. this morning i call to see when the truck will be done "not today buddy maybe middle of this week" the mechanic has been telling me this for 3 three weeks later my dad calls the shop and gets a different story while switching shops the hydro-vac was misplaced! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
5 months theyve had it i wanna tell them Keep it, and go shopping for another.

That's why I do my own mechanic work - experience has taught me I can't screw it up any worse than some guy in some shop.

well today my dad called there again and got another story, seems the boss went to pick up the parts but brought the wrong ones back so he went back and supposedly well get the truck back tomorrow, I cant wait to haul enuf beans away to buy a ford truck. If anybody knows of a good 70s Ford F700 or 750 tandem axle with a 19 to 22' grain box a 361 or 391 motor 5&2 trans please let me know, it would be nice if i could find one with airbrakes.

yes we finally got the %$*% thing back yesterday. And guess What the back are better than before but they are still horrible, it scared me half to death the first load i hauled and ran a stop sign thank gad nobody was coming from either dirrection. I found a truck exactly like i described but dad wants something newer so i found a 1988 Pete tandem 377 with a 22' box but its about 100 miles away and dad says thats too far. Argh i have neighbors that have went to ND NB and Iowa to get farm equipment. just when i think i may have something good, nope. Im sorry i made you guys read my complaints but geee wizz! Thanx for reading anyways guys.
