Hello wellys and Welcome to FTE!
So you are saying that all the air through the heater core is hot and that the air through the left defroster vent is cold? |
no heat
No I stripped out the glove compartment and took the plastic casing off the heater core. The entire core was very hot. No air was passing through, it's not blocked because I took it out. At the top left hand corner cold air was blowing through. This was the only place any air was comming through and it was cold But the rest of the core was hot ??????????? The truck has an a/c if that has anything to do with it.

I would guess that you have a trapped air pocket there. Fluid is still moving through the core but for some reason you have air trapped there and since this is where the air is blowing through it, it does not heat up.

how do i get the air out

Find the highest possible part of your water system, undo the hose and run your truck until water comes out of the hose that you took off and fill the rad while the truck is running.
The same thing can be done by putting your truck on a steep hill or high ramps and run the truck for about 20 mins with a hose in the rad filler. Randall |
