Central Texas Meet

Ok, so we never got to meet way back in December.. just too short notice. Can we try to plan something coming up in the April- May- or June months? It could be for whoever wants to come.. San Antonio, Austin, whoever. I know earlier we had talked about the forum in Northeast San Antonio - any suggestions.

If we can plan this early we can actually do it, with a turnout.

I love the enthusiasm.

Keep me informed if you have a meeting in San Antonio Texas. I live 17 miles south of the city...

I'm also in An Antonio and if there was a meet in the area I'd try to make it.

MudinMan19704x4 03-02-2004 10:22 AM

MudinMan19704x4 03-02-2004 10:24 AM

02superstroker 03-02-2004 09:33 PM

Yeah.. this needs to be for ANYONE.. 4x or not. can't we all just get along ;)

MudinMan19704x4 03-02-2004 09:36 PM

lol...my point exactly....

gtex 03-03-2004 08:39 AM

I don't think we can all get along now. My feelings are hurt.

I think I'll just go to the track by myslef in my pathetic 2WD :-)

I do miss my 4x4. One of the main reasons I sold it, was because I couldn't find many places to use it in Texas. At least not legally and within a short drive from Austin. I probably didn't look hard enough.

I did'nt meen too hurt any feelings bro. Just letting you know.
That would be cool, we could see how far the 2wds get through a mud hole. :-X0A6
Maybe someyone could bring an old rice burner car and we could take turns driving it through a pit, then pull it out and do it all over again. :-X04

4x2's, mud holes, and GTG

I'd make it all the way through. Haven't you heard? It's not the vehicle but the driver, man. 8D

There is nothing wrong with 2wd trucks and mud, well if you have limited slip. My 93 f150 302 (before the tranny died) has pulled several trucks out of the mud. One was a 4x4. but due to the e4od tranny that has died, and not being able to find a new one cheap enough I have bought a 91 f150 302 (manual 5sp). the only thing that I dont like about this new truck is that the rear end is an open diff. Luckily I just happen to have a 93 donor truck with limited slip hehe. Any ways when I had my 93 I only got stuck in the mud once. it was in a seap spring I did not know about and buried it to the frame. (snow chains did not even help, I had to be pulled out of that one) BTW I live in true central texas (thats north of austin by about 70 miles, no offense intended to those farther south but San Antonio is 3 hours from me.

P.S. hey 4x4ers you might want to look into going to Mason to go rock crawling been there a few times and it is pretty cool. I think the name of the place was katemcy rocks.
