Need Advice on a Radiator Swap for an Econo. Pickup

Hi All,

Bought a '63 Econoline Pickup back in Nov. 03. Have big plans for this truck. Check out the website I started:
http://home.earthlink.net/~langwellv...HD-Hauler.html

As I'm going through and fixing things I found the radiator leaking and it looks like someone tried to repair it. Since I have it out, does anyone know of a bolt in 3 core replacement that I might try?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

Gerry in ABQ, NM

the only true bolt in is an econo rad. 1 of my trucks has a nissan or toyota rad. bolted in. about all you can do is measure the width and length, and check your hose location and go huntin!
my father inlaw has a salvage, so i have a ready supply of vehicles to look thru, and the price cant be beat.

Another option would be to take it to a radiator shop and have them build you one. I had a three core radiator built for my 1990 Pontiac Bonneville and was told the price would be comparable to a new one from an auto parts store (they did me a favor). I also had a heavy three core built for my 1983 F150 with inline 6 banger at the same shop and paid $135.00 for it. They re-used the original tanks, installed different header plates and the three row core in both cases.

Thanks for the pics/info on your '63. I just picked one up and have the same gauge problem...great replacement idea. Like the Harley Paint theme as well. My folks used to live in Albq, as did my son,for many years, in the N.E. Heights. I am at the opposite end of the world, almost, here on the North Olympic Penninsula, at Port Angeles,WA. Across from Victoria, B.C. The only Econo PU this side of Seattle. My other Truck is a 93 GMC Typhoon...one world to another. George
