98 Ranger rim question

Hope somebody can help. Went to the bone yard to get stamped steel rims for snows on my 98 2 wheel drive Ranger and was told that 98 is special to itself, that being the only year rim that will fit. Does anybody know if this is true. Thanks for any help you can give.

Nobody ever told me that.

Try another wrecking yard. All Ranger rims are 5 hole 4.5" bolt circle with 1/2' inch offset. They come in 14, 15 and 16" diameter on widths up to 7".

I'm running a 93-97 steel 15x7 style on my 1998 4x4. I also see this rim on Explorers. My summer rims are 15x7 alloys from a 2000 XLT 4x4. No problems at all with either set.
