Smog?????
 

I have a 1977 F250 4x4...to make a long stoy short I can get it to pass smog by detuning the carb but it won't even come close to passing the visual....I thought about putting it my parents name in KY since I'm moving back there in a year....what options do I have and has anyone else ever delt with this......Thanks for all the help:-X09 :-X09 :-X09

I'm in the same situation with my 76 F-250. I'm leaving it registered in Arzona until it is smog exempt in 2006

If it won't pass the visual inspection, it won't pass. If it's a Ca. truck it has to have all the smog equipment it came with from the factory.

One option might be to go to a wrecking yard and get the parts you need and get everything hooked up properly.

Even if you put in in your parents name in another state it still has to be registered in Ca. if you are going to drive it and must pass smog to register it.
