new truck or upgrade old one???...
 

i have a 00 150 sc lb with an auto 4.2. with 90,000 miles.
I am getting to run another 900- 1200 lbs at any given time.
Thats in addition to the 600-1500 i can be carring at any given time now.
I have two options. Put in new heavy duty springs in the rear (200 installed) to relieve the weight and help to keep from EATING
front tires.
OPTION 2...yup you guessed it get a 250. I cant find anything here for under 20000 with decent miliage.
I dont know if i am killing my drivetrain.
The only thing i did to this truck was a tranny (ouch) and a set of wires and plugs. I am thinking that i can keep it going for another 5 years.
Any thoughts???

air bags would help, as much as I would like to say keep the old one it really depends on what your going to actually be carrying- if your alot closer to 900 lbs now and will be adding another 600 or so- even 900- I would say your ok with helpers- if your closer to 1200 now and going to be carrying another 1500lbs then all I can say is get a 250- that's 2700lbs so you really need it.

Take the money for the upgrades and go for the '250
