Propane long term effect on PSD

Once I get my chip/or programmer deal, I think my next step may be to go with propane. Sure would be nice when you've got 15K behind you on a 7% grade! Spent this much money why not spend more, right? Anyways, I was wondering how detrimental, if at all, the use of propane is on the engine? Also, how exactly does propane injection work to improve the performance?

Quadzilla--looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,
Matt

dont have propane but from what i've read it is recommended to get a custom chip program for the propane setup, if i ever get it i'll get the economy verison because if you turn it up full blast its posible to bend connecting rods, note in october of 2000 international went to a non forged rod and its not as strong as the pre october 2000 forged rods. i know two people who have the economy version and are very very happy, ats and bully dog have some nice setups, from what i've read and heard the ats is made a little bit better, my 2 cents

fortunately I have forged rods!

FWIW, I read a comment on another web site from someone that said their Bully Dog system may have had a gas leak issue, there was a propane explosion that destroyed their turbo.
In fairness, I have no way of knowing what the exact circumstances might have been, or whether the report was due to an installation or hardware problem.

I ran across the subject while researching the subject for use on my own truck, my thinking right now is that I'll stick with a chip, exhaust and intake and call it good. I can already pull a 30' camper over the mountains as fast as I want to- or can safely go, anyway! If I ever go beyond that, I'm getting a Garrett ball bearing turbo upgrade.
