Best oil For 6.0 L ? & Propane injection Good or Bad ?

This is my first diesel, and I was wanting to Know whats the best oil to run in it ? The weather conditions I am in are as cold as -40 c (-40 c = -40 f )in the winter and +30 c ( +30 c = 86 f ) in the summer.

Also I seen on the show "Trucks" he put on a propane injection on a diesel to increase hp is this worth while or would I be looking for trouble ?

I run castrol 5/30 syntec in my 2000 v-10 SD extened cab, LB, SRW and I have never had a single problem with this truck. I have been running this oil since 20,000 km (12,427.42 miles), it now has 225,000 km (139,808.52 miles) on it . oil changes every 5000 km (3106.86 miles).

The best oil you can run in your truck is mobil delvac 1 5w/40 synthetic oil.
Great for cold and actually made my truck run quieter.

if you cant find it in a store try avlubricants.com.

It was $108.00 with tax and shipping to my house for 4 gallons.

good luck

Delvac is very good stuff but I would recommend Delo 400 15w-40 for a person who will stick with the 5k or 7.5k mile oil changes. I personally think the Delvac is only cost effective for those doing extended drain intervals and oil analysis.

I like the Delo because of its specifications. My truck like's it because it taste great :)
