Loyalty Rebate question
 

Since the Loyalty rebate has been replaced by a global rebate for any buyer, it seems like a change for the worse.

Correct my if I'm wrong, but the way I see it, when this was in play you could take the 1K rebate if you owned a 97' or newer product and still take the low financing option since there wasn't really a rebate to choose between at that point.

Now, you get the same rebate, but can't do the lowest financing since it's an either/or scenario. Is that a true statement?

It seems the folks that have owned many Fords should be rewarded along with the buyers who may be on their second Ford of many more to follow, but Ford must show something different with their stats.

I'm not sure any of the big three have ever kept something like this in place for very long.

You are right. Under the loyalty rebate, I got both the $1000 plus 1.9% financing for 60 months.

Everything is negotiable, but the dealer may have his hands tied on this one.

I'm going to see what my dealer says, I'm not ever sure they're aware this quirk.

What do you think Ford's thinking was on this?

Yeah, I noticed that right after they made the change. And I'm sure that's why Ford changed it: it's always been an "either-or" deal with rebates and low rates. With the loyalty rebate, you were getting both, and that's a no-no!
