2002 Explorer fuel filter change

Can I use the scissors type release tool for the fuel line fittings on this filter ?? It has two lines in and one line out ?

Thanks !

I have the same vehicle. Where is the filter located and how hard is to replace??

fuel filter is located under the pass front area , there is a heat sheild in front of it , has 3 {13 mm} head bolts holding it on , then a small plastic splash pan behind it , 2{10 mm} nuts hold it on. The fuel filter has 2 small lines on the inlet side , this takes a special release tool available from napa , {don't have the p/n handy} but it lists in the book for the 4.0 explorer , and the scissors type release tool for the outlet side. I do have the Napa p/n for the filter , it is 3424 . {2 inlet,1 outlet} , but they also listed a diff p/n which is 1 in/1 out. ck to see which one you need before hand{ I didn't , made an extra trip } Hope this helps !!
ps: you will need to have the x up on jack stands to have room to work
