tired 302 rebuild or new engine
 

180K and worn thin....blowby and used lots of oil....still runs good but smoky and embarrassing when sitting at lights....how expensive to completely rebuild...if I do the labor...or if not?.....new engine 2 grand or so?

It depends on what you want to do with it. A cheap rebuild is $800.

New is 2200 for a short block, and between 2700-3500 for a long block. They usually have a warranty.
