Help !!! with wiring question on 2000 Excursion....

LAST EDITED ON 22-Aug-00 AT 08:28 PM (EST)[p]Customer access wiring on the right side of the steering column, 5 wires (red, black, white, blue, blue/white) all tagged customer access wiring. 4 wires, all but the blue/white in the loom above the power dist box, underhood. A 10a fuse marked cust access ign. feed in fuse box.
Any ideas what these are, where they go, can I use them to power acc's?

Thanks......Kevin

Four of the wires (2 pair) are prerun thru the firewall and not connected to anything on either side, so you don't have to mess with making holes in the firewall, for things like gauges into the engine compartment.

The fifth wire (I don't know the color) is connected to that customer access fuse circuit. I would make sure it has a fues in it, turn the ignition to on, and then use a tester or voltmeter, with one side on a good ground, to find this 'hot' wire. It could be used for any accessory (depending on the wire gauge and fusing)
