Mayday-Mayday-Mayday It's All BS Thread

Welcome visitors to the monthly Mississippi Chapter BS Thread... where we mostly discuss the vagaries of our weather.
If you are a MS Ford truck (any year, vintage) owner, please say hello & especially if you are interested in having the coveted chapter membership added to your FTE status.
If you're in a neighboring state/region or just like us, please feel free to join in & post.

We love projects. We love pictures of projects. If you know of a automotive event close by that may have slipped our notice, please tell us about it.
If you're out & about in the state, say where & when & we can do IRL for a cup of coffee or cool beverage. If you need advice/info/helping hand, speak up & we'll give it a shot.

Days be just burnin' up seems like.

My yard looks like hell. Truck... sore subject. Mustang is stumblin.

Y'all hold it down out there.

Good morning David, this is starting to look like the lonely state..

Scndsin 05-05-2024 06:24 PM

Oh my yes. Been doing the assistant gardener rag.

Liftin' that barge & totin' that bale.

Yard looks like the jungle is encroaching.

But hey boy howdy, I may have beat my EFI blues I been suffering with for the past few months.

Now I hope I haven' t jinxed it

Good to hear you are at the end of the EFI blues David. I finally started piecing the motor together, so far the crank is in place...lol

So, it's now illegal to have a vehicle with a "Carolina Squat" in Mississippi.... :-missingt

Thank heaven that it's mostly chevie owners affected. :-D

I for one am glad. Aside from looking stupid, it is dangerous as the driver cannot see in front of the vehicle. Never understood it. Guess I am too old.

Scndsin 05-09-2024 11:43 PM

It is truly moronic.

56panelford 05-11-2024 02:49 PM

Thankfully never seen such a critter around here...lol

Scndsin 05-11-2024 11:07 PM

Hideously stupid fad. Practically drag rear bumper, sky high lift front.

Typically Tahoes, GMC suvs, the occasional Toyota, etc. Seen one Explorer.

Drive with periscope I guess cause you sure as $#!* can't see.

56panelford 05-12-2024 08:14 AM

I looked them up on the internet, not sure how they were ever allowed anywhere..even those low riders with all the hydraulics look too sketchy to be on the road..

Greetings from the Smokey Mountains.

Land of fog & rain. Going to take a train ride in an open car today...

If we get there on time.... :-X04

Have a good one, all.

f1504x4driver 05-15-2024 07:59 AM

Hope ya'll have a great time!

Scndsin 05-15-2024 06:09 PM

Very interesting. Never on a train in my life. Dual diesels, open car (there were closed ones) on a line that had portions from before confederate days.

That Vanderbilt expanded & used to build Biltmore. And parts of the Trail of Tears.

Weather held off being bad.

Missed getting down to the Grand National yesterday on the best weather day we've had this week. Naturally...

Trying to beat the rain this AM

Also dealing with comm issues. The service is 5G, but spotty in the woods. The wifi where we are runs from none, to dial-up, to mediocre.

Can't believe how jaded my ancient ass' has become.

Have fun, the show is worth it.
