Front Air Dam
2024 F-250 Lariat Ultimate W/black appearance package. Should I just take the front air dam off, or order an air dam for a trimmer and install it? Any pros or cons with ether option?

I would personally run something rather than just remove it. It makes the area look mkre finished, and they do help a very small amount with fuel economy. I will be cutting my 4x4 valence down to 2wd height in the near future.

Cut the stock one, as is my plan. YouTube is your friend. I'll cut to the 2WD length or about 4" and if I think it need to be shorter, cut it to the tremor size or about 2". If I mess it up, only then will I order either the 2WD or Tremor one. Will try this weekend, weather permitting. |
I replaced my 4wd one with a 2wd one. I couldn't be bothered to try trimming and wanted the 4wd one intact in case I decided to put it back on in the future; the 2wd one wasn't expensive.

Tremor or nothing. I think trimming looks like crap.

If you primarily use the truck for traveling, leave it alone. If you drive mostly around town with an occasional trip, you might want it off/trimmed depending on how you like the look. Obviously, mine came off when I replaced my bumper but if not for that, mine would still be on there. Comes down to how you use the truck and the overall look you prefer.

My FIL put the Tremor one on his. In my opinion it's almost too short, but it didn't really hurt his mileage all that much (he has the PSD and 3.55's). Personally I'd have gone with the 2WD but it's not my truck.
That said, if you don't care to put the original one back on (most people never notice anyway), I'd go ahead and try trimming it and see what you think of it when you're done. If you don't like it you can always buy the 2WD or Tremor one. If you don't feel like trying trimming or want to keep the original for later use, the other two aren't that expensive as pointed out above and bolt right on. |
I think the 2wd with the dumb lip bottom part is just as bad as the 4wd version.

2 cents, Dave |
Is the 2wd version an aftermarket part or OEM only?

Nowhere close IMO; the 4wd one hangs down twice as far. If all trucks used the 2wd version, I don't think these threads would exist.
2 cents, Dave The swoop forward is very unfinished. |
