Front turn signals

Looking for input on my '73 F100 front turn signal gremlin. All of my lights (headlights, parking, brake lights, turn signals, & hazards) work as they should with the exception of my front turn signals when I have headlights or parking lights on. When those are on & I hit my turn signal (either side) I get a super faint (almost imperceptible) blinking from from turn signal. I have cleaned all of my grounds @ cab & engine compartment. Full disclosure: this condition began after I did a full grill swap ('73 to a '79). Any help is appreciated. Thanks !

Did you get the t/s lights wired up correctly going from the 73 wiring to the 79 style wiring? I am not sure if that are 100 % the same.

The original wiring on my '73 has a rubberized 3 wire connector from main harness (runs along front of rad core support) that plugs into a 3 wire connector that comes out of socket to the turn signal housing. I simply cut the 3 wire connector from the socket housing & spliced onto the new (aftermarket plastic) 3 wire socket that twists into the new turn signal lens/housing for the '79. Pretty straight forward I thought.

Isn't there a ground wire somewhere.

1973 F100/350, 1974 F100/350 before serial number T80,001 has a metal park lamp body, the socket w/wires is swapped into it, then there's a separate clear lens w/a gasket.

1974 F100/350 from serial number T80,001, 1975 F100/350, 1976 F100/350 before serial number C50,001 has a one piece plastic body/clear lens, the separate socket twists into the body.

If you want an amber turn signal lens, you can also use the 1976 F100/350 plastic body/amber lens from serial number C50,001 & ditto 1977.
