Rear View Mirror Fell Off… Help?
 

My husband and I have a 2013 F-150 and we live on a bumpy dirt road. I think our rear view mirror just shook loose from going to and fro, but we can’t slide it back on. If anyone has any tips that will keep me from having to pay someone to fix it, I’d be very grateful.

Looks like you're missing a piece. There should be a spring, like a band, that locks onto the windshield piece. That's what the notches on the sides are for.


Replacement mirrors are relatively inexpensive but can be a PITA dealing with that spring. It's pretty stout for its size.

The spring is stuck to the button still on the windshield, it should be attached to the mirror via those broken pot metal tabs. Only fix is a new mirror.
