2000 7.3 f550 Fontaine classic traveler conversion $25000
 

Fontaine is a heavy truck and trailer company.  They had a deal with Ford in the late 90s early 2000s to modify f 450 and 550 trucks.  

This 550 has the following modifications by Fontaine.

-Banks exhaust brake
-Full banks exhaust
-Banks trans command
-Full 4 link air bagged rear 
  suspension (smoothest 550 you 
  will ever ride in)
-air dump switch to lower hitch 
  height for easy trailer hook up. 
  Flip switch back and it raises to 
  ride height.
-aux fuel tank that automatically 
  feeds into main tank with smart 
  control.  Truck holds 70+ gallons.
-electric pump that holds brakes 
  for trailer loading.
-custom Fontaine bed with 
  lowered sides.
-5th wheel and gooseneck Hitch.

The good.

LED head lights and new lenses

The bad
Needs door lock solenoids
Has a miss at idle
Banks brake needs actuator

I absolutely love this truck, and wanted to install a flat bed, however there are only like 500 of these ever made, and I couldn't bring myself to take it apart.  It pulls like a dream with 15k it won't even drop out of overdrive on hills.  The aux tank means you can go and go and go between fillups.  I'm selling because I need a flat bed or a truck with a tailgate, this truck has no tailgate.  Willing to trade for f450 or f550 4 door 4x4 flat bed 7.3 or v10 only.

Yes, however since the fte add I blew the turbo and it has been sitting for 2 months now. I have a guy coming to buy it from out of town this weekend at a reduced price. I will update further after Saturday. Thanks.

That is a Mico parking brake, that leverages the larger surface area of the service brakes by integrating an electrically driven actuator into the hydraulic brake line circuits to apply fluid pressure to engage the service brake calipers when the truck is parked... providing a stronger hold over the cable actuated drum in hat parking brakes.
